Services Provided:
- LEED Gold Certified Project.
- Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection) and Electrical engineering for addition to and renovation of 65,000 SF historic school.
- Project electrical systems includes: 12 phases of construction to allow full occupancy and operation of the school, new 34.5kV PECO electrical service, lighting & lighting controls, cable tray for all structured cabling systems, fire alarm system, PA system, telephone systems, atomic-wireless based master clock systems, electrical support for new commercial Kitchen and Cafeteria addition and 25kW roof mounted PV system.
- The project included the replacement of the H&V system with a new HVAC system, new plumbing piping and fixtures and a fire protection system. Project construction phasing was carefully designed to allow the continued use of the existing steam heating system while new hot water systems came on-line. Eventual conversion to condensing-style high efficiency hot water boiler system with a remote-barrel chiller system serving 4-pipe distribution with vertical unit ventilators and roof-mounted energy recovery units.
