Various Projects:
S&H provided all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for renovations of a Seminary campus in this historic setting. S&H has been contracted directly with the Seminary and also via an Architect for some projects.
Projects and Scope:
- 2014 Energy Stewardship Project: S&H performed an initial study for this project in the Spring of 2014 and designed the project in August 2014. S&H designed new boilers and a web-based HVAC DDC control system for the Cottage and the Machen Hall (main administration building). This included a new gas service to the Cottage and all new hot water control valves and thermostats in the buildings.
- Gatehouse project: Design for converting a former original residential gatehouse building into a combination dorm and apartment for on-campus living facilities. Project includes new MEPFP system design.
- Testing, Adjusting and Balancing project: The TAB project consisted of hiring a TAB contractor to perform air and water side testing at three campus buildings and a generating a report with recommendations to fix various air flow and ventilation issues experienced in the buildings.
- On site engineering support for resolving radon issues in the Library building.
